Spring has sprung

I’ve been sick for the last two days, but tonight I had to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things for the weekend. With wonder I saw that spring had suddenly exploded while I had been inside. The weeping cherry trees, the magnolias, the forsythia, the tulips have all bloomed. Trees are showing the first blush of green. And today at least the skies were clear.

Sing Cuccu has a new look, too. For over a month I’ve been working with Reese of Design by Reese. What started as some vague ideas from me took beautiful form in her designer hands.

The coolest functionality is the sidebar. I asked for something similar at the outset, and she made it even better than what I had imagined. Go ahead. Click on something on the right sidebar (middle to bottom is best). Tell me what you think.

I have a few things to add to the sidebar, and I have to extend the formatting to the Quotes and Recipes sections, but I’m not touching anything else, not for a long, long time.

  4. Thanks for tipping me off to your new look on this site. It’s really stunning. I’m thinking about a possible redesign for my site as I’d rather get away from something based on one of the default templates from EE.

If I give up on doing it myself I’ll definitely contact your designer.

  5. Yes, it’s quite inspiring, and makes me think I ought to do a nice redesign of my own site… though something makes me want to go all Flash and really make it something special, and I hardly have time for that. Maybe in August. Or maybe I’ll pay someone to do it?

    Uhhhhhh. Maybe not.
