I attended David Allen’s April 11 GTD seminar in Chicago, along with two of my co-workers.
I first read Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity about a year ago and have been making attempts to implement it in my life since (low energy and frequent low motivation has made the process longer than necessary). I re-read it early this year and then put myself on a monthly reading schedule to serve as a refresher.
As big a fan as I am of the book and its methodology, it turns out that I haven’t the energy to blog about it tonight. Anything I write will sound way too fan-girly and will have way too much jargon (I know, because I’ve already deleted it).
In a recent conversation with Merlin Mann, he said (once again) that he’s not affiliated with The David Allen Company, but that he’s more like John the Baptist. “But we’re all John the Baptist,” I said.
All the John-the-Baptist-ness I can rustle up tonight, however, is this one-time special offer. The first person I know (even marginally) to leave a comment on this post will receive their very own paperback copy of Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity. I’d prefer to hear from someone who has never read the book, so allow your sense of honor and decency to shine.
I’ll have more to say about what I’m currently implementing later.

Darn...I just bought that thing. SHould have read your post, first. ;)
Still, it may be the best money you spend all year.
Okay, you’ve prompted me. I’ll give it a shot. I personally am under the impression that it’s all the writing classes I took on, but I’ll try this method too, if it’ll help. Stress is a very bad thing.
Send me your address, and I’ll make sure you get a copy (I’ll probably try ordering directly from a Korean retailer to keep the shipping cost down).
And yes, stress is very, very bad. Will you be teaching fewer writing classes next semester?
