Are my priorities misplaced?

Yesterday I woke up to the following e-mail from Mr. Cuccu #1:

I was recently sent some images that are striking in there similarity to u…not sure what u might have done but if it is u and u are not aware of it I thought u might want to know. Is it safe to sent a link on this which is graphic?

In my early morning daze, I replied:

I guess…what kind of images?

After which my brain kicked into gear.

There are images, and there are images; there are nude images, and there are nude images, and I began to think that they were not the right kind of nude images. A sense of alarm generously mixed with a feeling of relief settled over me. When he wrote:

These are images of a naked woman who looks a great deal like you (although there are some facial features which differ slightly). Not trying to judge u or anything or make any assumptions. (Lord knows I am definitely unqualified for such judgements. [The Lord does know, and so do I.]) I just thought that if you did something and someone used pictures like this without ur knowledge, u would want to know.

followed by a link to the web site in question, I immediately wrote back:

I don’t even have to look to know that they’re not me, as I’ve never had nude photos taken of me (you didn’t say they were photos, but that’s what I’m assuming).

He replied:

OK…it did seem a bit out of character but the photos (yes they are) are uncanny in resemblance. Too bad…u could have had a hell of a law suit…just kidding.

Frankly, I am more concerned about the use of “u” and “ur” than I am about the possibility of nude photos of me on the Internet.
